$2002 Challenge, Feb 22-23
Hey all,
Team DFH is entering a car in the GRM $2002 challenge, so if any of you happen to be down for the event or are nearby (Ormond Beach area for AutoX on sat, Orlando motor speedway for drag on fri), find us and say Hi...it's the red/grey 86 CRX with a Kirkey seat and no decals (except the ones we have to run, #'s etc...)
We should do reasonably well. The fastest cars this year at the drags will probably be in the high 11's, and we should be inthe low 13's with slicks, 87 Integra driveline, and 10psi from a T3. The AutoX is where we should really clean up, as the CRX is just a great autox car in the first place, plus we have stiffer T bars and GC's, Konis, Camber plates, and BFG Gforce R1's. Somehow we found a rust free chassis with good paint to start off with and we've done some little things to the engine to make it look better, so we should do OK in the concours as well.
Hope to see some of you there...you'll know me b/c my shirt says "Sonic" Check out http://www.grmotorsports.com/challenge.html for directions and details.

Cool! sounds like you've got a really good setup for the event
I'll be in Palm Bay for the AutoX on Sunday... not sure if I can make it down for Sat or not. Is the Sat autoX open for anyone or just the $2002 Challengers? I'm about 2.5 hours away so it's a bit of a drive just to watch...
edit: talked with Gary (running CFR East and organizing the AutoX) and he said it's challengers only
might still come down and watch or help out though

I went to the first one, it was pretty wild. I've been off of the DFH list for a long while, didn't even know you were putting a car together. I'll try to drive up on Saturday to check it out.

Xian, the sat autox is for challengers only, and the concours is that morning. There's also a local autox on sunday and I think a good number of challengers are going to stay around to run in that, so if you want to make the drive to do more than watch, that may be an option.
Thanks for the support guys, see some of you there.
