Too many variables for someone to "know" what the problem is. Best thing you could do is get the car on a dyno, and make sure it is performing to its full potential. You also need to do a compression and leakdown test. Other than that, your guess is as good as anyone elses.

just bring it to a honda dealership for a tune up it brobably has never had one. a tune up alone could and probably will increase your engines overall output. i know someone with a 95 mr2 turbo who had his first tune op a 100k and hecould feel a difference. just a thought. good luck.

heh it is possible that the ls got better. lots of things could be an issue here. i'd start with a new fuel filter and run some fuel injector cleaner through. you'll be amazed at the difference that injector cleaner can do, i use it once a month to keep things deposit free.

if that dosent help i would go get a compression and leak down test.

if all the above don't work redyno it. certain atmosphereic changes can cause a lack in performance or an untrue tune due to varying conditions.

Maybe the LS was never power shifting before and now he is? But get that fuel filter changed 4 years is much to long it's likely glogged and affecting performance.

I think that the driver of the ls may have gotten better, maybe your fuel filter is clogged..
probably something along those lines...

uberdata offers more tunability imo but the vafc looks cool heh its up to you on that one.

Like the other guys say. DO A COMPRESSION TEST!!! and a leak down test. If that comes out fine than the other little stuff is pretty easy. DO A COMPRESSION TEST b4 getting on the dyno. Gsr should read 200psi@sea level on the gauge. Heres a website. Hope your motor is not toast. http://www.c-speedracing.com/h...t.php

powershifting is not gonna get you 4-5 cars ahead... all its going to get you is gears with no teeth left on them.

Powershifting=no loss in speed during shifts so it can get you 4-5 cars ahead depending on the length of the race and also how well the other driver shifts ect. If you think that powershifting doesn't get you better times then regular shifting then hook me up with whatever it is you're smoking. Obviously it isn't good for the tranny bit I don't think anyone said otherwise.

Unless you are a good Racer and been doing it for awhile than Powershifting is for you. Where every tenth of a sec count. This method is not for Noobie because they could end up killing the Tranny and motor. Overrev is just a sec away. And Who wants to change the Tranny every year. A fully built car doesn't need to Powershift. Powershift VS. Cost. Cost will win everytime.
