It should have no effect on your v-tec. That aside, you need to check your o2 sensor heater (if you havent already). If you need to know how to do that, just ask, i'll keep an eye on this post.

let me know.
I've tried numerous attempts to connecting the o2 sensor and to no avail.
what is the 02 sensor heater?
I thought it was just the o2 sensor
thanks again for your help

the heater is the 2 black wires (on a universal at least). it heats the sensor to keep it from getting fouled by the exhaust gas. basically, if you are pulling code 41, then the heater prolly isnt working, and the sensor will foul out in a lil while

Yeah, I already know the heater doesn't work, I connected the two black wires to the correct pin outs, because if I connected them wrong, my car would stall out right after the car is warmed up.
However, my heater DOESN'T work either when the car is warmed up

so you know it doesn't work because you've tested it? or just because you think so? if its just fouling out, that would give you the code 41, just go to an autostore and buy a new one, jack up the car and put it in, take you 5 minutes, if you wanna try and salvage yours youll have to test it, and looking through the haynes book, its pretty tricky. (Personally, id just buy a new one, but keep the receipt and box in case it still throws the code.)
