Clutch issues.... Someone try and help please.
Dammit Dammit Dammit.
I was having a blast in my car last night... I bumped up the fuel about 20% past VTEC and it loved it!
Ballin around, beatup on a pair of Mustangs, and an S4 audi with a few mods...
On my way home at 11oclock, getting tired, I goose it pretty good at one red light about a mile from home.
Something Pops under the hood... Nothing seems affected, no smoke, no loss of power. I pull up to a stop sign... and the car won't come out of gear? SO I turn off the key, and the shifter works fine... CLutch issues
AGAIN. I put it in first, and let the car pull itself cranking away. Float the gears home... FIZZUCK.
I pull out the pliers and turn away at the little black **** on the clutch adjuster and test it out from time to time, try to crank the car in first gear and see if it tries to pull itself around... I end up adjusting it alll the way to tighten the cable, pulling up on the cable arm on the tranny. No luck, still screwed... It doesn't seem to grab so badly when sitting still, but it also doesn't grab at all once the clutch pedal is let off of...
Ever have this problem? Any suggestions? I don't WANT to take the clutch out of my car AGAIN but I will if I have to this weekend... and I think I might have to
Dammit.
BTW, it's a ClutchNet Clutch... just over 600 miles on it. Worked fine, but with a completely different FEEL to it yesterday before that happened. It had a VERY light feel to it until the clutch started to grab, hte spring pressure got alot tighter at that instant.... now, it's fairly stiff all the way through the pedal sweep, but mushy feeling.

You tried to loosen the cable? You know you can overtighten and push the fingers of the pressure plate back against the clutch, reengaging it.
Cable DOES something, just a completely different FEEL now, and it won't disengage the clutch when the clutch is pressed to the floor...
I've gotten suggested a spring came out of the disk itself... any other ideas, or comments?

I was going to say something about the spring. I have heard of a few people having a spring pop out of the disc and then locking up the clutch. I would suggest dropping the trans to get a clearer picture of what is going on. Good Luck
