Default Interesting... I just this : AEM CAI V2 in an R.

To all those who say the V2 does not fit an ITR...

I wonder that LHD vs RHD makes a difference in installing it ???

Who said it wouldn't fit?

Anyways, I doubt the v2 is any better than the regular 3" ITR one. That one is probably 2.5 -> 3

I've heard plenty of BS about it fitting and not fitting, this sums it up.

And you think the tube is smaller, any proof?

The regular v1 intake for the b18b1 is only 2.5. Based off the fitment on the tb, it looks to be smaller than 3"

AEM stated that they did not release the v2 for the ITR because it didn't make any significant gains over the v1 intake.

I had the V2 in my old GS-R. The Primary tube (larger one) seemed to me to be like 3.5-4" in Diameter. I've seen a pic on here with a V2 on an R and now that you mention it Rob I think it was on a LHD. I wonder how much of a difference it would make LHD vs. RHD?

I would not mind seeing a graph of the V2 vs the J's and the V1 CAI.

That would be quite nice to see.

94-01 Integra with B18B motor. Examples include LS, RS, GS and SE.

It's the Spoon strut bar. Fixes everything.

Ok I have a question. Metal conducts heat but yet most aftermarket CAI are made out of metal.

Plastic does conduct heat also but disapates it faster than metal. Why doesnt a company make a CAI made out of plastic?

Some of the best testing intakes can be used without metal intake tubes.

J's. Comptech. Mugen. The Mugen and Comptech would probably qualify as what you'd call CAI.

Would that apply to b16 power EG's, as in the same intake? I know it's the wrong forum but no one ever answer me about it. Thanks

i still have not found a good chart showing the power gain of a v1 on a stock ITR.
I wonder if it really even does anything or if it is all for the noise... dont get me wrong, i love being able to hear vtec, but i dont think it feels any different.
stock was soo quiet, i was almost disappointed before i got an intake

The AEM is powdercoated in exception of the chrome, but I'm not sure if that makes any difference in heat disapation. :shurgs:

I don't think it will work but I'll see if I can take my brothers V2 from his GS-R and see what it does on my car. I may have to remove the strut brace temporarily but we'll see if it works.

When I was looking at these a couple years ago, right about when AEM decided not to actually sell the ITR version, the vendor suggested I get a 99-00 Si version as it would fit just fine. Not sure if it's the same part # as the B18B or not.
