I threw this setup together last week in my car:

D16y7 Block
D16y7 Head
D16y8 Intake Manifold
D16y8 Exhaust Manifold
Integra full core radiator with custom on/off switch located on dash
D16y7 ECU
d16y8 tranny (edit)

It runs great except for some jerking due to bad mount insert and I don't have filter on my intake (someone jacked it! , damn crackheads!) But other than that.. runs really smooth.

Any thoughts/comments/questions on this? I have a y8 head i 'could' put on it, but i'd rather get that nice and built before I put it on, thats my next task.

Doesn't look like much different from the stock setup. A z6/y8 tranny would give it more umph than a y8 head. I have both

Yeah, I put a Si tranny on my D15B7 and so far it's been the best upgrade I have done so far. Well the ACT extreme clutch kit and 8lb. chromoly flywheel did help too. Is the y8 exhuast manny any different then the y7? I always thought they where the same. Have you noticed any difference with running the bigger y8 intake manny? I think when I go mini-me I will pick one up. They are bigger right?

 

Honestly I have been trying to find some details regarding the exhaust y7 vs. y8, i have been told the piping is just bent differently and doesnt have different size. I'm not sure though. Overall the setup runs great, smooth as hell and has nice lil punch to it
