2002 Honda Accord Coupe 4cylinder to V6?
I wanted to know if it was possible to swap out my engine. I currently have a 4 cylinder 2002 Accord Coupe but I wanted to put a newer V6 engine (03') in my car or any kind of V6 engine in my car from the same model Accord as mine (02'). My mom has an 03" accord and it rides nice, a 4 cylinder isn't enough for me. I'll probably take it to the dealership and have it done.
Well if your rich go ahead and go to the dealership. Im pretty sure they will rape you on the charges. A V-6 should fit but your gonna have to do a bit of modification i think. But what are your reasons from going from a 4 to a 6 cylinder other than power?
You'll probably find that after all the research, unanswered questions and all the parts and modifications that are required, it will be cheaper to sell the 2002 coupe and buy a v6. Check AutoTrader.Com and start checking prices.
Another avenue could be Turbo Charging your '02 4cyl coupe. The power output would rival a V6 from a powerplant that weighs less; and you'd have a car that still handles well.
Remember; doing a V6 swap (uncharted territory) will probably require Trans, Axles, Ecm & Wiring, Front Springs and Sway Bar changes as well.

If you could find a dealership that would do that for you i'd pay for it myself.
Just buy a new 03 V6. There are several things that need to be changed to fit the V6 and new tranny in the 4 cyl and with all the fabbing it would be way less cost effective plus with an 03+ you can probably get soem sort of warranty still...

What would I need to do to turbocharge my 02 Accord EX? How much would it cost? And how much power would I get? I'm used to my family's Audi A6's, so the power change is immense. My friend and I have the same car (except his is the LX) and he also wanted to add a turbo on. Thanks.
lol where the **** did that come from? V6 swap to turbo?
If you want to boost, there are 2 kits available I believe, one revhard and another turbonetics. I'd look around but I know there are several. Custom built, if you use good parts, youd be looking at around 1500 for quality new parts. Installation isnt bad if you've worked around cars, the only real bitch is oil pan and then tuning. At a conservative 6 PSI on a typical T3/T4, you'd be over 200hp, and faster than the V6.

Why do the swap at all? I'm sure you wouldn't have much trouble finding a V6 accord for sale. I'd just sell yours and buy an accord with the v6 already in it, save yourself the hastle. That is, unless of course you got a V6 engine handed to you, in which case you should shoe horn it into something more interesting.

On another note, that gen V6 trans probably won't last much longer than your ailing I4 trans. They are the weak point for that Gen V6 Accord dive train.
