Default emissions failed 1995 honda accord help

95 honda accord failed twice emmisions in GA.
passed 25/25 test on 50/15 test failed CO % at 00.75 allowable 0.69
failed nox ppm reading 0950 allowable 937
later put Guranteed to pass emissions solvent in full tank of gas, drove 150 miles took the test and passed the nox ppm at 0881 but failed CO % 00.88
I am puzzled . Should i put 93 octane and a pint of rubbing alcohol in the tank ? ( read it on some site). or make a hole at the exhaust ? or run the engine on methanol and add some regular gas ? any ideas ?

now have you done any checking on the car at all?? is chk engine lite on ??

i use high octane and a thing of rubbing alcohol. two tanks before, the alcohol burns hotter and releases less fumes than gas. I used it on my car after it failed and it passed the second time and that was the only thing i did to it.

A higher CO% is formed when a hydrocarbon (gasoline) tries to burn (oxide) in a poor environment. Excessive CO is created when and only when fuel is burned without sufficient o2 to allow for complete combustion. Basically your engine is running rich. Problems could be anywhere from a bad air filter to a bad o2 sensor.

NOx or Oxides of nitrogen, is usually affected by a faulty or dirty EGR valve in which your car has. EGR is an exhaust gas recirculation valve.

Your numbers aren't too high which lead me to believe that your system is running pretty good but these are the things I would check:

-Dirty oil
-Plugged or non-functional PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) filter/valve
-Air filter

You also may want to run some seafoam through your engine as it has been known to reduce emissions and also clean out your egr (mostly). Here is a thread on seafoam if you need any help: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1215326

Why don't you just try doing a simple tune up and that will probably solve your problem.
-Plugs
-Cap
-rotor
-PCV valve
-air filter
-oil & filter change

I hear that if you take it to someone that knows what they are doing you will pass. stop using that GTP,Seafoam,Seaweed, rubbing alcohol, beer mixed with water etc.etc. I know some of you guys/girls swear and live that this will makes a big difference.
