hey people i was wondering if theres a street legal turbo? i heard that greddy made one with a carb sticker is that true? if soo i wanted to put it on and go get it BAR by the ref..is that possible? any ideas...please provide the info =D

Greddy kits are CARB legal and come with a sticker.

You really only need the sticker if you live in california. In most every other state they dont care.

We don't need to pass under hood inspections in IL...just emmisions in the Chicago Area

You can pass almost any turbo setup on a honda as long as its tuned right and you have a cat -- emissions wise. Hondas run clean.

I passed my civic with a custom turbo kit and a built motor in colorado without a problem. They popped the hood, said cool car, and pulled it onto the rollers. Passed like whoa.

Why in the world would adding an intercooler make a turbo setup illegal?

Adding an intercooler isn't going to change the emissions output of the car at all.

 

The peoples republic of calirfornia has no idea what effects emissions they just pull weird carb laws out of their asses.

It doesnt - but the kit was emissions tested without the FMIC - so by adding one it would void the carb cert - making it illegal to drive on the street.

i would have to say that is one of the most fucked up things about this country.. the lawmakers dont know **** about the subject there making laws about.. you would think they would pay someone to reccomend the right things instead of going off half cocked and making a bunch of bogus laws

I thought the kits didn't come with a BOV. I thought the BOV was what made it illegal. Not an IC

 

Greddy intercoolers are CARB legal... they even come with the little tag that says they are...
