ok, i just got my car repaired because it was not going into reverse, so i got that done and when it was apart they repaired my 2nd and 3rd gear synchros since they said they were damaged.so that got done and now my car is acting up a month and a week after. i cant down shift to 2nd or 3rd now,the resistance is so great and when shifting to 5th its real hesitant to going in, you can feel resistance. Can someone please tell me what they think the problem is. when shifting into my gears in regular driving conditions, there is resistance in 1st - 5th gear, or at least enough to make you concerned or not want to even have the car because of a bad driving experience. and no i dont abuse my car, i dont even race.

if this makes a difference here is my car info, 2001 Prelude SH, 63000miles.

Who repaired the tranny for you? Most places have limited warrantys. 90 day/3000 mile warranty. Check that first.

 

you might also check your shift cables for the hell of it.

make sure they're not rubbing against anything.

 

it was a local honda dealer ship, the mechanic drove the vehicle and said it was to be shifting to honda specs. which is total bullshit man. so they didnt do a damn thing when i took it in. so i have an appt on the 22nd with a honda acura specialist mechanic shop. so lets see wut they say, i might sell my lude and either get another lude i found that came in the rare electric blue pearl. or i might get an Rx7. so lets see, depends wut is wrong with my car
