Just wanted sum feed back on this place before i order. I also wanted to know if anyone has a thread or sumthing that will describe this 35,000 mile rule in japan where the engines have to be replaced???

 

I cant speak for Osaka, but the general opinion around here seems to be hmotors is the best. compare their price to osakas, it may end up being cheaper.

 

I cant, I live in canada EH!? None of those company can ship over the border and i dont wanna pick it up so i gotta find canadian companies

so any feedback on the mileage rule?

 

Osaka sucks ***... worst engine importer around. If you can pick it up then yeah might be ok.

after about 30k us miles they get taxed like crazy but yeah they can run them longer.

 

im actually kinda lucky because i dont live too far from there company. My complete cost for a b16a with everying i would need to put it in my car plus shipping is $1925.00 canadian. not to bad EH!?

 

yeah, i've heard good things from canadians about Osaka.. why would an american import from canada lol thats just dumb. Dont knock the company for that.

i think he's asking why you have two "SN's" (screen names)

and please stop bringing up the "EH" thing...im as canadian as the next guy and i don't use that word at all, so stop propagating that stereotype

They are from japan, a small island. Japanese really only use cars for road trips and such. They walk/bike or use bullet trains most of the time, which accounts for the low miles.

a friends of mine got a complete B16 swap from them and hes had it in the car for about 2 months now and it runs GREAT no problems out of it!


A++ for them!

 

Can't knock them completely because I buy from HMO. But I do know too people that have rceived B16s from them and have had nothin but problems out of the motors.

LOL I have seen junk motors, junk trannies, junk ecus from there guys personally. So were not supposed to knock Osaka because they send americans their junk? Were not supposed to knock a company cause they won't warrent jack **** and they sell junk. I guess that is because they are in canada. Alot of these motors were not Honda motors, but for me all I buy is Honda and I ONLY buy from HMO I was just giving a warning from what I have personally seen.

While that is partly true someone already posted the main reason. They have extremely tough smog laws and I believe that most people just buy a new car every 30k miles or replace the engine. When I actually went to Japan I found that there were almost no ob0-obd1 cars on the road at all so I believe that this rule is true.

 

osaka is junk! search jdmcivic.com and you will hear nothing but bad things as well!

 

i have personally ordered a motor from them and it runs great the only thing i hear is they sell off all the good ones first and the bad ones last so ask if they just got in a fresh shippment dont get the bottom of the barrel they are a little shady and all the shop owners in canada are related nagano japan inc japanese motors

i gotta say i take offence to that. just because its a canadian company, doesnt mean its any less reputable than an american company of the same genre. to say that they sell bad motors just becuase they're a canadian company, is brutal. i dont think any company in their right mind would sell bad motors intentionally, think about how much they pay every shipment just to get these motors to canada. to sell "bad" motors because their in canada is a horrible statement, and i cant believe i've actually witnessed someone saying that. brutal

OMG dude people up top were saying why would an american buy from canada, well some do because of the price. Osaka sucks a fat one, because they are a horrible buisness that sells junk. They sell junk and no matter were they are from they ******* suck. I didn't say they were shitty cause they are canadian. To imply that is plain ******* stupid. It was also said up top some people in canada have good luck with them, well maybe that is a trend with osaka, maybe not, but I said they suck because they sell junk, regardless of were they are from.

i personally would like to see some solid proof that they really do suck, rather than just heartless opinions. anyone actually have first-hand experience with the company, good OR bad?

 

I have seen 5 motor swaps with my own two eyes in the back of my shop, which either didn't run, had bad trannies, been in fires, or were issing parts that osaka said they would send and never did. What more first hand experience do you want?? I don't post hear say ****.
