How to make the car run on 87?
I got a gas card from work but can only buy 87 oct
.
Can I "detune" it to run 87? or just pay for gas
I already got blue in the face and fought for 93 but its not working. I threatened to get a h2 but that didn't work either.

I think you have to pull the 2 and 3 plug wires so the "octane" accumulates in the other cylinders ...

so if u dont mind me asking...whats wrong with running 87 octane on an R??? i would understand that yes it is a higher quality engine and a higher octane fuel should be used but i dont see what would be wrong with using 87 octane...not like it would have any serious effects on the engine or anything right?

how would anyone know what gas you'll be using and why would that part matter? if anything, it should be a set spending limit.. so instead of getting more gallons of 87 for $20, you just get less gallons of 93 and pay for the rest yourself.. that gas card thing doens't make sense.
