I sold my winter beater a 93 honda del sol si, because I need a second car with back seats 2/4 door doesn't matter, but I'm leaning toward a stick shift. I have $8000.00 cash and a great rate on a $10,000.00 loan. So new or used what would you guys recomend me buying for $18,000.00 or less cash without taking out another loan. With so many choices I need some feedback on what you guys recomend. I first thought sporty, then luxury, then sport utillity, and then sporty again! Help please give me your honest opinions on what you would consider. I came close to buying a second Type R, but I now know I want something different. Thank You in advance.
1 Supra TT
2 M3
3 RX7 TT
4 Z28 SS
5 Cobra
I dont know what youre tastes are like but these are my top choices.

I Know I don't want to get a car older than three model years old, so I need somthing 1999 or newer and I most likely won't be dumping lots of money into this second vehicle, because I already plan to dump a large amount of money into my R. Thanks for your opinion though.

Your first choice of the supra TT sounds awsome, but could I actually get a late model supra TT for $18,000 cash. was 97 the last year, if it was and I could pick up for 18,000 or less I'll forget about that three model year old rule, and really consider it hard, but I doubt 18,000 would get me this car in good shape.

No, not another type R because that what I most likely plan to do to my current R.

1999 model or newer? How about a Honda Prelude? Sporty, comfortable, reliable, pretty cheap insurance, high resale value, seats 4....
The only problem might be the temptation to mod it...
If you are looking for something more winter oriented - Subaru 2.5 RS maybe?

2000 Maxima SE. It's 4 doors, fun to drive and you won't have to worry about it getting ripped off as much like a Honda would. Or an 99+ Audi A4 1.8t. It would be nice to have a quiet comnfortable car to cruise in and not worrying about walking back to your car worrying about whether or not it's there. A perfect daily driver.

00 White Civic Hatchback - $10,000.
ITR Swap - 5000.
Suspension/Brake Upgrade/Rims - 3000
having a homemade Civic Type-R? Priceless.

I'm not looking for somethin winter oriented, and that prelude is another great choice. Thanks

I never liked the maximas, and the A4 has to be well over $18,000.

i second the prelude SH, good compliment to an ITR, or maybe even a Civic Si, with like a nice stereo or something

Even if I win that auction for that R they'll never let it go for that price.

Does a miata have back seats? And Front or rear wheel drive isn't a deciding factor. I've owned plenty of rear wheel drive cars such as a 87 Grand National, a 86 Olds Cutlass 442, and a86 mustang 5.0LX. Other previous cars are 90 honda civic, 93 ford taurus SHO, And I'll never forget my 87 chevy celeberty, and of course my 93 del sol I just got rid of.
I would have to say a 99' Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX.

I wanted a GSX for a while, but a friend has one that I can beat when ever I want and I don't want to get the same car he owns anyway, Thanks that was a good one

No, I just can't see myself in a Bug. Nice try, so far the one I like the most is the 97 supra TT but with $18000 it's not going to hapen. Th e only possible one so far that fits into my situation is the prelude SH, but please keep the cars coming. I also liked a Acura TL Type S, but even the first year that they came out is out of my price range.
Alright, how about an Audi A4, E36 BMW 325is, or a VW Golf GTI 1.8T. I hope I got it right this time.

Anyone got info on the new toyota Matrix I heard that a fully loaded 180 horse power 1.8 six speed was going to be priced around $18000 although I'm sure this vehicle would have to be over 20,000 new.

No to the VW Golf, but what year would the A4 or E36 be for 18,000 or less if even in that price range, because if not I can't afford it.
