I can't imagine running a 50 seriese tire on a 16" rim. You aren't going to be able to lower it at all without rubbing. I use 205/40/16 and I used to rub making turns with my old BFG Euro TAs (my newer Dunlop fm-901s don't rub). Of course I'm lowered 2.5"-3" though...

Thats going to be a tough one man...

anything but tein
I blew up my tein HR coilovers, and installed a set of Koni yellows to use in the mean time, find they are better dampened than the teins were. Look at what the solo guys use. Most run a Koni with an ebiach. Seems to work well. The pro kit would do the trick. I suggest the yellow konis so you can adjust if you want to. Cheaper to buy that option now, then to have to buy it later. I know a few guys running the H&R cup kit, seems to work as well, but no adjustment, and for the price you could get Groundcontrol coilover sleeves and the konis, then you could find the setting you like best, rather than one someone else determined. Rember that each companies advertised drop, is approx and varies on cars options, milage, and use.
205-50-16 is a little big for an eg. I run 205 50 15 on the street. My allseasons/highway tires are 195/60/15 to make the car rev lower, but you need to be careful running something that big.

Anything can work, just a matter of how well. What are your plans? A bigger tire will make the speedo read slow, and slow your accerlation. A 45 is closer.
