Before I wrecked, I rocked the MP3 daily.

Hmmm...sometimes the mp3 player, usually not. No option for that, huh? I picked "Won't Hurt."

Otherwise, ear plugs.

have any of you ever had a problem hearing sirens from a safety vehicle (ambulance/firetruck/cop car) while riding with the mp3 player?

Just curious. I used to plug a discman into my chatterbox and listen to that at relatively low volumes but I haven't moved it over to my shoei helmet yet.

+1

That's plain dangerous in the city, but I've done it before on the interstate/expressway.

I only did this a few times. I stopped after getting too comfortable and getting distracted easily. Apparently I can't look at girls on the sidewalk and listen to music at the same time, I stalled out and the bike jumped pretty hard. Ever since then I don't listen to MP3's on the bike. Although my friend does it all the time, I guess he's more coordinated or more risk taking than I am.

I have done it on long trips down the highway, but I wouldn't be able to do it for back road riding. It seems to distract me when I am constant cornering. So I would only recommend for long trips down the highway.

I used to listen to it everyday on the way to work. Now, I'm just lazy to put it on when I ride. I still do it on the long rides though, you just can't turn them up to loud or you can't hear anything.

I enjoy music when I ride. Especially up the mountain
