Default My new car....and a question

hey im new...and heres my 6th gen accord. Now heres my question - I put the FF7's on earlier t/d, but after they were installed my check engine light comes up. Is it because my computer needs to be reset for the new wheels? any help appreciated.

The only way you could possibly effect the Engine Control Module (ECM) and set a light would be if Honda, in it's infinite wisdom, mounted (or incorporated) the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) on one of the wheel hubs. Check to make sure you didn't disturb any wires during your project.
If this is not the case, it's probably coincidental

Your speedo and stuff may be off but I don't think it should affect the computer. I don't think that is your problem. Check the codes to see whats wrong with the car.

Well on the plus side of things, the car is looking pretty nifty although the wheel gap is horrid.

But that's the ABS light, not the CEL. As long as they're all the same size, NONE of the computers have any way of knowing.

There's like over 70 error codes, why would you want to guess when you can just have AutoZone read the code...

aside from that horrid downward pointing ebay muffler and that huge wheelwell gap, i would say that the car looks good.

your chk engine light is totally unrelated to the wheels themselves.

pull the code and let us know what you have come up with.
