Default built motor and forgot little thingy PLEASE HELP

Yea like it reads I just finished putting my b16 turbo motor together and we forgot to put that lil aluminum plug looking thingy with the rubber o ring on it that goes on the top of the block between the head.... what is it ? what does it do ? am I screwed????? please get back to me .... thanks all

yes you need it, yes you have to put it in.

I forgot once too. Some will say that they left it out and it was ok, but I've seen to many fucked heads cause someone forgot the dowel pin and o ring.

U MUST PUT THEM IN!!!

if it is what i am thinking of it is an oil squirter for the head. i know we take them out on mini me swaps but i would think you would need it on your setup. you may have to yank off the head and install it.

if it is #'s 9 and 10 i think you have a problem.

Yea...usually you put everything back together with no extra parts...extra parts are BAD!!!...but yes you do need the dowel pin...

I forgot to put this back in to on my swap. Had to take the head back off.

if you haven't fired up the engine, you could prolly yank the head off, and re tourqe it, and be all good.

if you noticed a week later... go ahead and order another head gasket.
