Default 87 CRX SI, is it worth it?

I am looking at an 87 crx si for sale but I dont know if it is worth getting to do an engine swap. I want to swap it out with an integra ls engine but is the rex to old to jsut swap out the engine?? What I really need to know is will I have to change out the fule system and the tank and all of that stuff???

The Integra engine is a direct fit for it. Or so I am told.

If you get it I have a D16a1 sitting out back that you can purchase cheap. I have axles, linkage ECU the whole 9 yards. It needs a rebuild but I'll sell it cheap.

Sorry I know wrong area for that..

get the car, it's arguably the best CRX made, you can get a Bseries in it or as mentioned an intergra D16A1. well worth while car to play with. no fuel components to replace either.

I guess? Considering they only made the car for 7-8 years. I prefer the 90-91 SI for rear discs, etc.

I've driven one before, pretty cool. Definately a change of pace coming from a 88-91.

check out redpepperracing.com . the 1gen integra has a direct swap, as long as you swap over the steering knuckles, axles, and shift linkage, too. a bit of wiring to be done, etc, but not really cause you have the si model with fuel injection.

and they will have rear discs if you pull them off a 1gen integra.

It's all a matter of price and condition. 1G CRXs are quite light and, therefore, good for swapping. If the price is reasonable and the body is good, go for it.
