2001 Civic....need help!

My 2001 Civic is making a strange sound..technicians couldn't figure it out...It's a soft purring sound I guess, kinda low pitch, happens when I'm reversing, braking or coasting. Can anyone help???

Honestly, I'm not sure. Its not an ongoing sound so I haven't been able to pinpoint it. All I know is its coming from under the hood.

do u have any engine mods? engine stock?

if its stock, it could be the mounts for the tranny are broken(had that problem) or it could be a loose hose somewhere.
