Rims/Rubber for my EG hatch
The ride needs new rims as its a few weeks away from a complete body job. I was looking at some 15"x6.5" or 15"x7" or 16"x7" Rota Slipstreams. The hatch is currently droped 2.5". I want to get some rubber but I want to make sure that it will fit and that I wont get any fender rub.
What would be the best rim and tire combo to go without getting any fender rub?

15's for sure.
I'd say go with 15x7 with 205/50/15 tires.
Of course it depends on what you want out of your tires but I've had toyo proxes 4's and now falken ziex 512's because I wanted alonger lasting tire. The toyo's were a little grippier but more expensive.

16's look really nice, but the prices for everything go up a bit. The main problem I have is finding THE wheel for me. Most of the really nice wheels (that I like) only come in 15" & 17". Plus it's harder to find a really good 16" tire (205/40 or 205/45)...
I would say 15" for a daily driver...

I have 15x6.5 Rota Auto X's on my EJ1 wrapped in 195/50. There is a little bit of space between the wheel well and the wheel, no rubbing could occur. However, I plan to lower my car a little bit more.

it all depends if you want more handling go with 205-50-15 with 15X7 but I have 195-50-15 and they are just great. as for tires I would go with the Kumho 712, ES100 or Falken.

you will be good with the 15s as long as you dont go XXX/55-15. You will rub.
Take my advice on this one. Im dropped 2.5 in the front on 99-00si wheels and im running 195-55-15 and i get the annoying rubbing when im turning hard as slow speeds.
I like my avs es 100 for daily driving.
