Aftermarket Radio Question
Fellow members......Well I got tired of my stock radio, so I bought a Kenwood and installed it myself, but during the install I think I may have broken the antenna plug that plugs back into the head unit. That little damn metal piece thats in there is so damn delicate. I couldn't find a solution so I just plugged it in, my reception is very bad now. Is there a way I could fix that? because I pulled the wire a little and it seems like that wire runs forever......didn't know where it connected to.....some help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot
not sure if it can be repaired, but i do know that the ant runs from the back of the radio all the way to the ant on the outside of the car. my guess though is that the connector could be fixed if you had the conector and the correct tool to crimp it. let me know how you make out

The antenna wire runs all the way to the antenna on the outside of the car. which runs up the drivers side of the windsheild.
if you pulled off the inner wire from the radio plug then it can be re-crimped or repaired by a really good car audio shop.
If you pulled it loose from the antenna side you have to replace the entire antenna and cable.
~$20 part, an hour or so to put in. about a 6/10 on a PITA factor.
