Default Need Help with New Head Unit install

Hey Guys,
I recently picked up a new Eclipse HU and am having some problems with the install. Here goes,
I bought a wiring harness and Best Buy to set it up since my old one was cut to short to use again.
Put all the wires together and threw her in. The 4 speakers in the car are powered by a 4 channel amp in the trunk. All was well for the day until I got up and the car would not start. I looked at it all day today and can not figure out what is wrong. I did notice however that when driving you could hear a lot of noise thorough the speakers. After that I concluded that the amp in the trunk needs to be grounded better. However this would have little to do with the dead battery. After looking at some wiring diagrams for my 94 teg it seems apparent that I have all the wires in the right place. Another Integra site recommended grabbing power and acc switch under the steering column. I have yet to try this but I did notice that with my current setup when the deck is plugged in and the car is off the back of the deck is scaldingly hot like it is receiving power but not on. I have come to a few conclusions on what is wrong. A.) My new wiring harness that I bought is bad and needs to be replaced. B.) The factory stereo accesorie wire has a problem and is not cutting the power to the deck when the car and deck are off. C.) The factory stereo ground wire has a problem in which the deck is not grounded properly causing it always to receive power?. At any rate tommorow I will try running the constant power and accesory power wire to the deck from under the steering column and see how that works out . If you guys have any other possible solutions plz get back to me as this is becoming increasingly frustrating.

I assume if you are using an amp to run the speakers then you are not using the oem speaker wires at the back of the HU, you would only need to use the 12V+ constant white w/yellow or blue stripe the 12V+ switched yellow w/ red stripe and 12V- ground black and maybe the red w/ black strip illumination or capping that wire if not used, I would check all the wires and make sure you have the right ones and that the work properly, [the 12V+ switched (yellow w/red strip] only has power when ign. is on. and that the blue, [amp trigger] wire out of the HU only has power on it when the ign. is on and the HU is on.
If you are not using the HU internal amp, [not hooking up the HUs speaker wires, [and removing or capping them so they can't short out] then you don't need to get your power and grounds from anyplace else, [if the stock ones are working properly] 94
