Default torque converter 0-60 time difference

hey guys, ive searched the forum for every single torque converter post, none of them answer this question

right now my automatic 95 ex coupe's 0-60 time is about 10 seconds, in my opinion, that is awful

i want to convert the car to a stick, but if i will get the same performance w/ a torque converter i will maybe do that, b/c it is cheaper

so how much quicker do u think my car will accelerate

especially 0-60 time?

well if you go the torque converter way then everywhere you go you will be lauching. as oppose to a 5 speed where you get to feather it out. Also you will have more problems down the road, mounts will go out cause of the strain, tire damage, and tickets from squeling tires everytime you start going from a stop.

92-00 tranny will work. the newer ones have steel forks. all you need is a tranny, pedals, shift linkage, master cylinder, and mount. i think thats all. and a new ecu, or you can convert yours to a manual. it will cost around 500-1000. depending on how much you get the stuff for.

way less. i am looking at piecing together a conversion now, hoping to spend about $300, but looks like it might be in the $500 range when its all said and done

here is the parts list, $300 is prolly a pipe dream, but i have yet to start shopping. also to really do it all, you will need a manual ECU and manual guage cluster. these are not required, but will make the conversion complete

Tranny Mounts
Clutch
Flywheel
Pressure Plate
Slave Cylinder
Master Cylinder
Hard & Soft Lines
Pedal Assembly
Shift Linkage
Flywheel Bolts
PP/Clutch Bolts
Shifter
Shift Boot

if you can find a good deal, it may be easier to just sell your car, and then buy manual

well i mean i havent done any heavy modding, but i did put coilovers on it and a new cat back, headlights and taillihgts, and wheels but i mean i payed 4500 for my car, and it has onlye 65k on it, so its hard for me to find that in a stick, and in as good of condition as mine

to be honest i was thinking of saving, and just buying a b16a2 w/ a tranny, and swap that in there and make it a stick
