Thank god they left my thumpin system in...

I wonder what kind of car all my panels are going to fit in...

Kind of reminds me of some of the ghettofied Hondas I see on the street.

Notice no window tab... that's probably how they got in.

None on the passenger side either...

It was stolen on the night of 1/31 or the early morning of 2/1/02. Not sure which. But it was recovered on 2/3/02. So they did a pretty quick job. There's no damage to the unibody other than a few dings on all of the driver-side panels (front fender, driver door, rear panel). But beyond that, the unibody appears to be in perfect shape.

I actually have a few choices at this point:
  • Get a Civic hatch w/B18C1 swap and have a bunch of money left over.
  • Get a new RSX-S and have no money left over.
  • Get a Supra TT and have no money left over.
  • Get a '02 Corvette Z06 and have payments about the same as they were on the R.
Not sure which route I'm going to go though... I still haven't gotten the insurance settlement yet either, so my choice will partially be contingent upon the amount I get back.

Good thing they put the imobilizers in the 00-01 model. I think that's the first 00-01 model I've seen stripped. It looks like it got raped. Sorry for your loss but from your captions, it seems like you're taking it well

I'd nix the Supra, since you already have an RX7....hatch is a cheap alternative, but it doesn't seem like you're hurting for cash, so I'd go w/ the Z06...however, I have heard from an inside source that Chevy plans on making the Z06 505HP for MY 2004 (for 50th Anniversary of Vette, eventhough it will be 51 years)

I'm sorry for your loss.

That is a professional job, I'm just curious why they didn't take the front emblem and the ABS.

Where did they find it? Did the cops tell you? How far from your home?

And what are your plans with it now? Insurance settlement? Maybe rebuild it for a track only car?

Again, sorry for your loss But, I do however like your choice for plates.

A.

Imobilizers do jack ****. There are so many ways of getting around that. 00-01 are just as dangerous to have then the '97-98.

I was going to say they were mercilessly efficient...

...but they did leave the front emblem.

Here's one on me

I should have taken more pics of the suspension. Can anybody tell me from the pics I posted if that's the Type-R suspension arms? I'm wondering if they just took the hubs, but left the rest of the suspension intact. Indeed, why would they bother to reconnect the front sway bar if they're Civic arms? Hmmm...

The immobilizer is a joke. Nothing a 2000 civic ecu can't take care of. And, I haven't stolen one car.

Thanks man, I appreciate the empathy. I was pretty upset for a moment or two until I remembered I had full coverage insurance, and Supras are getting cheap. It's just a hassel, having to go without a reliable car for a few weeks, and the paperwork. But still, it's the principal of the matter.
