Anyone ever bought lenses off Ebay??
Planning on buying lenses soon for my A95. The telephoto lens and adapter with some other stuff off of ebay is like half the price of just the Canon lens and adapter. Just wanted to see other ppl's experiences with them. If the ebay ones do the same job as the Canon ones for about half the price, mines as well get it/

If your thinking of buying "non-Canon" lenses, buy the Optilux ones. I got the wide-angle and telephoto lenses for my canon g6, and I think they are the best bang for the buck, plus they're made in Japan, so quality is basically assured. I would say get them from Butterflyphoto.com, great site.

Do you happen to have any comparison pictures taken with the telephoto lens and without of the same picture? Thanks

This is the best set of "comparisons" I have between a reg lens and using the telephoto, both are macro shots. The first one iw as some what far away, and was at full zoom using telephoto, the second was just normal close up. No c/c plz.

I've bought some in that for different cameras, like for my old G6 and my Rebel XT (both being a wide-angle macro lens). You can really tell a difference when using a higher end camera like a dslr when you get a "lower end" lens. On my point-&-shoot G6, you really didn't tell too much of a difference. I haven't bought any other lenses (telephoto or whatever) from ebay and I probably won't for my dslr.

IMO, all depends on what kind of lens you're looking for, and who makes it (some generic brands are pretty jenky looking compared to others, at least from what I've seen). On a P&S A95, you should be fine with most aftermarket lenses and not really notice much of a difference, if any, in your pictures.

I guess I'll just wait for my next cam to get some lenses and save my money
. Thanks
Unless ppl have comparisons to change my mind..

For that price, its worth buying it to try it.</TD></TR></TABLE>
I'll wait till some more ppl chime in with the same came and lenses and see how it is. The adapter is like 20 bux for mine (wide and telephoto lens) from Canon. But be kinda pointless to get if the other lenses barley make a differnece in the pictures.
