If you have an EK9.. Why don't you just keep the b16b and build off that?

You are a ***...
You are a ***...
B16A - rev the **** out of it and maybe run 14's if your car is light and you're a decent driver.
H22A - torque on demand, incredible daily driver, run 13's if you're a great driver, much more expensive.
This isn't a choice.

And you're an *******. Just because I know a lot of people who have rare cars makes me a homosexual? An EK9 would be espically rare in the states, hence me knowing a lot of people with rare cars in WA makes me think I would know about it.

That comment was uncalled for, he's acting like he's in middle school. I don't care if he is 'the man' or not. That was a rude comment, and it was uncalled for.

No more sack swinging, por favor. This thread shouldn't still be open, so let's keep to the topic at hand or sit back and let it fall by the wayside, hmmmm?

Agreed. I would honestly prefer the b16a myself, easy swap to do and can put out a decent amount of power.

I'd prefer the H22 because you're always going to be incling for more power and the h22 will give you more power right off the bat. But, it all depends on how mechanically inclined you are.

True. I've never done an H22 swap, but I have done a b16a swap. Now, from what I've read not only are H22 swaps expensive, they're also hard to do. I completed the B series swap with a buddy in about 6 hours.
I've done some reading on H22 swaps, I considered putting one in my EJ1, the amount of work, and money to me just wasn't worth it.

anyways, i say get the h22 because the b16 sucks for daily driving.</TD></TR></TABLE>
How does the b16 suck for daily driving? My buddy has one in his EH2 and that car runs/drives great with the swap.

even the guy who posted above me has an H22 and he says go B series turbo. prelude motors aren't worth the hassle if you ask me, you might as well just go K...

If you want a cheaper less powerfull motor that you can build on later get the B16, if you want to spend a little more money and have all the power and reliability of an OEM motor than I would say to forget the H22 and just find a K20. the swaps are pretty much the same and involve just about teh same amount of work, but the k20 is lighter, has more torque and HP, and it responds better to bolt ons than any of the other Honda motors...
but a B16 turbo setup can be pretty nice... What are you planning on using the car for? daily driving?

Why do all swap conversations have to be a pissing contest?

That is the thread you SHOULD be reading. Plus, just like I said in the other thread, YOU are the one that should be making up your own mind. You don't need our consent to buy an engine nor pick one. You make the decision on what you want to do. If it doesn't turn out the way you wanted it to, tough, that's life and the decision you make.
