Default Valves are pissing me off

I adjusted my valves to specs and my valve are still as loud as hell. It is really getting on my nerves, its embarrasing and if u rev it up at all it sounds like its gunna blow. It is also idleing like **** it shakes like hell. could the valves be causing the shitty ideling??
any help is appreciated

edit: i just noticed in your sig you have a d15b2..

you might have some valves to replace after the valve lash adjustment failed. it might be cheaper though just to get a different head from someone here on honda tech.. rather than get your head rebuilt. if your valve lash adjustment is to the correct specs and your car doesnt run like it used to then its a good bet your valves are messed up.

I have another spare head ready to go if i have to, but do u think tightening the valves anymore would hurt? everything is old wear and tear has taken its tole on this engine, what im trying to get at is that im thinking that maybe the specs are for an engine that dosnt have as many kms on it. correct me if im wrong its just a thought.

when your valves still knock like that its your springs that have given out. its called valve float the valve tends not to seal all the way and bounce on the head.

well, if it were me, and i had a spare head from the same engine that i knew was good i would put that on. the worst thing that could happen is that youll just have the same problem but you will have eliminated all of the valve train problems. that would also let you figure out if your valve lash did in fact mess something up. you could have bent valve stems that could cause the loud ticking you are hearing, and could be caused by a bad valve lash adjustment. either way, if you did the adjustment when the car was good, and now it is messed up, you can almost guarantee that that is the problem. granted parts can fail at inopportune times, but occum's razor dictates that the simplest explanation is often the most correct one.

May not be the valves that are making the noise, I would sooner guess a bottom end problem than the head.

Also make sure that your cam timing isn't off a tooth or two. If it is then your valve adjustment was fubarred and needs to be redone.

This morning i decided to re do them again this time by hand no ******* feeler gauge, if something goes wrong o well i got a new head to put on. To my suprise it runs good and revs with no ticking. It didnt cure the rough idle tho, its better than it was was but still shakes. I have already changed the coil, the rotor bolt hasnt come loose, new cap, wires, plugs, and injector. what else could cause this idle problem?

WTF. Thats a big no no. If they did in fact become less noisy, you probably adjusted them too tight.
