i want to get rid of the old orange running lights because i want blue head lights. i want the turn signals to flash orange but i dont want to to be on and be orange when i have my headlights on. i just want the headlights not the orange how do i go about doing this???

 

i'm assuming your turn signal is dual filament (ex: 1157).

look on the bottom of the bulb, you'll see two metal contacts. find out which one is for your RUNNING lights, and put a piece of black electrical tape over it, leaving the other contact (for your TURN SIGNAL) bare.

put the bulb back in, voila. now it only lights up when you use the turn signal.

 

anybody know which one it is of the three???? left? middle? right?

 

HGZ has it right...there are two contacts on the bottom. cover one of them up. plug it back in. done

 

thanx alot i figured out that the red wire was the running lights i just snipped it and now i have no running lights but i have blinkers!!! it looks awesome with my hyper blue bulbs!

i could have told you to snip the red wire! i thought you were trying to avoid touching them.. oh well. at least your happy
