hey im looking to get a new car i just rrecently sold my honda turbo si and i know it was probably alot faster than a wrx and everything but i am ready to move on to a REAL everyday driver. I want to get a wrx and start tuning right away. i am just wondering if id be better off to go with a turbo upgrade right away or if i could keep the stock turbo and still do a FMIC and everyhting else i wanted to without upgrading the turbo? basdically what kind of numbers are people puttin down with a stock turbo on their wrx?

 

id like to know how much boost can you run safely on the td04 13g. and with that amount how much power would you get out of a b18a?

thats reallllllly small i bet you could only run around 10 pounds on a b18 before it would just die

what would die? and only 10psi? would that at least put hp in the 250 range?

 

the turbo wont be able to flow well wnough to feed the engine at higher rpms and fall flat on its face, wrx's run 14psi from the factory on the turbo's, as for hondas our engines are more efficient in the upper rpms and the turbo is too small to flow as many cfm's as the engine needs...

 

how much do you think i can sell one for with 9,000 miles?

am i just the jerk here, or should this not be here at all? i mean it is HONDA-tech after all...if you want to sell out to a wrx then this should be posted in a wrx forum

Try asking a WRX forum, you might get better results there.

 

the stock turbo ON THE WRX can handle over 18 ON THE WRX. at that point dependingg ONLY on suppoerting mods should be the 300 CRANK area... DEPENDING ON MODS... wich with your awd system isnt getting you that much to the wheels... sure they build power quick but from a roll there dogs...
