I was on the freeway yesterday in third gear @ 6k and all of a sudden the car felt like it misfired, i had noticed that it was running a bit hotter than normal (just a little bit past the half way mark) then all of a sudden the car just died! So i coasted off onto the shoulder and popped the hood and I smelt coolant burning, then i looked underneath the cam gear and saw coolant leaking between the head and the block, so I'm hoping its the headgasket. If so should I go with the OEM honda headgasket or is the a better brand to go with to deal with the type s pistons compression?? I need all the input I can get right now, i;m going to pull the head later on today to check it out...thanks in adavance

OEM head gaskets work fine.

 

do a compression test, if your compression is good it isnt your headgasket
all 4 cylinders shoul be pretty similar
