A couple of Questions about Problems with my accord.
I have a 91 Accord.
I have been hearing a sound when accelerating, kind of soounds like some kind of popping or crackling noise coming from the engine area. I have no idea what is causing this sound. I would like to get it fixed though if possible.
anyone have any ideas as to what it could be, and how I would check?
Also, When breaking I get a lot of shaking in my steering wheel. is this associated with the breaks? and How Would I fix it? I changed the Breaks not too long ago.
The engine Has almost 200K on it. and I'm pretty sure the lower end of the motor could use a major overhaul. but I do not know if it would just be cheaper to replace the motor. a lot of ticking and clicking coming from the lifters and whatever else.
What do you think?

as for the sound it might be a bit hard to diagnose you might want to chk motor mounts .........as for the shake when braking mose likely your frt rotors are warped measure the thickness and if below specs replace rotors
as for the engine overhaul no offense but unless you got a lot of money invested on this 91 accord it would not be worth spending the money to overhaul the engine you will never recup the money if trying to sell car if engine is shot i would consider getting another car ,,,,

I am planning on buying a newer Honda this year.
I am hoping for a 97-98 Accord. As long as it's within my budget. You are right about replacing the motor not really being worth the money on the older car.
Do the newer Hondas still have a 4 lug pattern? like 96-00. I bought a set of these recently and they are going to have to fit on my new car or I will have a fit

ah, That makes sense.
I wish I knew what that noise on the engine is.
I only hear it when I give the car gas while moving.
I can't really describe the sound any better than it sounds like it might
have something to do with the cooling of the car.
