i hope that's an automatic...

but to answer your question about trap speed. your trap will be higher the more u spin off the line. compare your 60fts and see for yourself...

i dont know the track conditions or elevation
im guessing sea level
the track is mission raceway in mission B.C. Canada
yeah the higher trap speeds also had worse 60' times
getting the 15.1...i just rolled off the line....didnt launch it or anything....
i dropped the clutch at 5k and all i got was some mad wheel hop.
im gonna be putting in some ES motor mounts though so im hoping that will help, and also could it be something to do with my suspension thats giving me such bad wheel hop?
i got stock shocks and coilover sleeves.

i had another thread about the 1st time at the track and i was running times of 16.7 or something like that....since then i'v found the problem to my slow *** car.....it was a super clogged up cracking cat.....

wow that is impressive.....my goal with my car is to hit 13.999
first i need to practice my driving....and learn how to launch...
my car is also HEAVY because i got a heavy sound system in the trunk which i will take out for the next time i go to the track and also i will put on the cf hood to reduce a little more weight
hopefully that will help..
together its about 100-120lbs

Wait, maybe I missed something, but what motor do you have? If you have an h22 with that list of "mods", that is not a very good time, I could hit high 14's on my internally stock h22 with 2.25" exhaust and intake

Ya looks like an H22, Skunk 2 doesn't make IM for us H23 guys

But ya that time isn't so rocking, friend of mine ran 14.7 with I/H/E, motor mounts and a little suspension work

Yea, I ran a 14.6 with jdm h22 I/H/E , clutch, and aftermarket ignition parts with completly stock internals, and my car also weights 2932 lbs. So like they said thoes times arent good man you might have something wrong. Maybe consider retuning it.

or learn how to drive it? =x Ive seen so many nice cars just made pointless because the owners havent imerssed themselves in how their car behaves, wants to behave, and can behave -_-.

Yea i watched a 5th gen manual prelude run 15.9s low 16s all day. That just shows how bad of a driver he was. When i first got my swap i could only run mid 15s. I learned how to drive and ended up with 14.9s stock motor. It wasnt my shifting it was all the launch. I feel the best way to launch is around vtec crossover. You just gotta figure out how to slip the clutch to keep it on the virge of breaking loose. When you get it down it will spin a little then hook around 6k rpms and have you at the top of your powerband. This will make some nice 60' times.

17" wheels aren't going to help at all.

yes i know im not a perfect driver and i admit that...but i am getting tuned tomorrow with hondata s100....taking out the vafc2!! yeah!!
another reason why its a bad time is because vtec is set at 5300....and the guy tuned it like that without changing vtec back to 5000 which means when i shift...i drop out of vtec...so maybe thats another reason too...who knows...but anyways..re tuned tomorrow and ill goto the track again in about a month....

drag is very important in 1/4 mile times. reduce ur drag. take everything out of ur car..seats are very easy to take out. take ur panels out of ur trunk..take ur spare out..take ur sub out..etc.

Yeah.. You shouldn't really have a problem staying in VTEC all day long... I do it with the stock 5400 crossover, practice that shifting.

practice is definetly in order... youre running stock times. and i thought oversized valves with big cams was a no-no...

btw, how much are you making to the wheel? noticed it said vafc tuned.

why would oversized valves with cams be a no-no?
but anyways...its harder for me to stay in vtec with the 7lbs flywheel, pullies and removed balance shaft belts which makes it harder to keep the rpm's up after shifting.
my vafc was street tuned with a wideband....not on a dyno...so i have no #'s yet...

ive just heard that before. and here is a quote from skunk2's site.

"Oversized valves should not be used with standard size valve seats or with Stage II and III VTEC camshafts"

heard the same thing about using JUN cams & oversized valves, chance of hitting or something, but I thought it was only for the "stage 3" cams since they are more aggressive..

There's a chance of the valves hitting the pistons, but high lift cams can still work with oversized valves as long as you're smart and clay your motor.

i am using crower stage 2 with stock idle lobes which arn't as aggressive as the skunk2 stage 2/3

another thing is i had the head machined for the new valves and the bowls blended and the head was also reseated and touch-up reface new valves? whatever that last one means....but i havn't had any problems so far....
