boomslang?
im doing a dx-d16z6 swap and was wondering how good their conversion harnesses were... never heard anything about them so i just wanted to see if anyone's had and bad experiences with them... i believe that the whole harness will cost me around $140 shipped while the rywire harness is $300 shipped... i know rywire is good quality but im low on cash so i wanted to see how good this harness was... thanks a lot guys for the input

i may be wrong but i do believe i read somewhere that they would match any body's price. I'm sure they will see this and chime in... They are also 1 of the few places i have never heard anything bad about. I'm definitely going to buy from them when i go obd1.
i did exactly what you are doing. i used the original dx harness on the z6 engine and modified it where needed. i used a obd1 ecu with a jumper harness and ran the 4 wires for the mpfi swap to the relevent obd1 ecu plugs. depending on what you spend on the jumper harness you could do it for less than $140

Thanks man!
well, boomslang does a good job, and is a very nice guy, but that harness (dx-obd1)is basically no different than doing it yourself. It adds 4 extra wires to the pigtail. Give us a call, and we can talk more about it to help you decide. If you have wiring experience, I would just get our 0-1, or boomslang if you would like, and do the dpfi-mpfi yourself.
my 2 cents

I have never heard anything bad about http://www.rywire.com so you all get my Vouch!!!

Rustin is hella cool at Boomslang. I used his OBD-0 to OBD-1 jumper with no problems. Ryan at Rywire is my bud and is just as good. You can go either way and have no problems.

thanks for all the input guys... i had no idea that the mpfi conversion was only 4 wires... i was under the impression that it was a huge mess to get myself into and since this is my first swap i didnt want to have to do everything myself but 4 wires is easy... i have never heard a bad thing about rywire but its just that i thought that i would have to spend $300 while boomslang was only $140... thats what i was asking about... but now that i know more about it im thinking about going with the rywire obd0-1 harness since ive heard more about them... thanks a lot guys
