Auto tranny problem, need help
Hi, my uncle has a 88 auto civic and told me that when he put it in D4, the car begin to move then it act like it' s on Neutral.
He also said that when he put it in 2, the car works fine, and I think it' s the same on D3.
Does anyone know where the problem comes from ?
&
I wanted to retrieve code on his car but didn' t find the blue connector (I looked behind the glove box near the kickpane).
Could you tell me where it's located on 88 civics ?
Thanks

maybe his shifter cable is out of adjustment?
and the blue connector is where you're looking. it may be tucked away in there, especially if nobody has ever used it. it's behind the kickpanel, btw.

I removed the passenger kickpanel and didn' t see it
I only saw the blower wires on this area.
I'll ask him to find the connector so we can try if it' ll throw a code to know what' s wrong.

the only code you would possibly get from the transmission is the lock-up solenoid. that's the only electrical part of an 88 civic. no transmission computer.
