i just got done putting a 2000 Type R 5Lug conversion on my 99 EK hatchback now i need to lower. so my question is... do i buy suspension peices for a type R or still for a EK
depends.. if they are brake suspension parts, then u buy for the Type R. but if they are coilovers/shocks.. u buy for the EK unless u switched the rear LCA to the ITR one.
if you did it the right way then you probably didnt use the itr one....so you should buy ek suspension parts not itr....unless you use the washer trick...
whoa.. i think almost everyone here that responded may be wrong in some way or another..
you have an EK, buy suspension for an EK.. ITRs have the "eye" mount on the bottom of the shock which needs ITR LCAs that fit ONLY on EGs and DCs. EKs cannot use that LCAs because the length of the LCA is different. you can buy EG or Non-R DC suspension but youll have to do the washer trick. so in the end.. 5 lug or not you need EK suspension, your only changing the trailing arm.

So, you are suggesting that ITR/CTR shares the same rear struts? Good call.
