Default turbo sohc...run like ****..need help..

okay..finally turbo my y8 motor...cause i got a cheap *** turbo kit...okay the problem is that every time i try to dyno tune it first gear would want to kill out...sometimes it actully runs and at 5 grand the motor would not produce any power at all..i have no clue whats wrong..i would say **** it and drove the car home...have walbro 255, dsm 390, vafc, and only running 5 psi of boost..i know that 390 on the hack cant really do much but hey they were free..still looking for a set of 450s...what seems to be the problem...first day the kit when on it ran fine but then it ran shitty...like it wants to boost but it cant...i dont know its killingme guys...i started out with the setting at -20 across the board and tuned from there and still ran like ***..fuel pressure was turned all the way up to 50 some psi..

Your probably running really rich, are you even using a wideband to tune?

the dyno where i went had wide band...so we used it but still no help..see what happends when i get 450s ..still it bothers me...first when not tuned it ran with boost.. now boost kicks in really late..like at 5k, used to at 2500-3000...(ihi turbo)

Put that down to 38-39psi.. Put 240cc back and keep under 10psi and should work fine.

you took it to get dyno tuned then took it off cuz you wanted to get mad at it at home? lol KEEP IT ON THE DYNO so you can test all your junk haha. i mean obviously make sure you have everything physically connected right first but you'll be fine with 390cc for now. take it back to the dyno and work with your timing as well. your timing might be waaay retarded. also check for dumb **** like spark plugs and stuff.

also get a datalogging session going to make sure your sensor's are reading correctly.

get her on the dyno tune
