Default How hard to swap si dash and engine harness into a std?

Well a friend of mine is selling his 91 std with lots of goodies for real cheap, he swapped in an a6 and had troubles with the mpfi conversion and it doesnt run too hot, its my old motor so i know its good, and that doesnt really matter anyway cause I plan to put the b16 from my crx into it. i really dont want to deal with fixing the wiring problems it has so I was considering just swapping in a si dash and engine bay harness and be down with the wiring. What kind of work am I looking at in doing this and about how long would it take to do?

You cant just swap the engine harness. You have to swap the entire chassis harness. I just got done doing this, I swapped everything from a 90 si to a 91 std. engine/trans, wiring, interior, and suspension. It took me 3 days by myself to have both cars running and driving.

are you sure about all the interior wiring? I thought all you needed to do was swap the dash harness.

This guy is right. Wiring is different. You've been here long enough to notice this question gets asked a lot.

People have done it and it's just different. If you want to look into it, compare the diagrams for yourself. Not a very smart idea from Honda imo, but oh well...

The ashtray and cig lighter in the si dash is illuminated. Reuse your dash harness. You need to locate two wires to power up your new lights. You'll have to wire it up to operate with the dimmer switch.
