Posting this for a friend.
It is a 93 Prelude Si, completely stock daily driver. He was driving and coming to a stop light and was downshifting and the car kind of jerked a little bit (like tapping brakes). The light then turned green and he started to take off in first gear and the car bucked to a stop (like something siezed up). Now he is sitting in a Mobil parking lot and the car wont go into any gear, except reverse. He said the clutch feels normal.
Im thinking its something with the clutch. He just had it replaced 10k miles ago though.

well it is probably the clutch if he can still shift between gears. look into the flywheel inspection cover and see if he can hear anything rattling around or anything. i have a little horror story for you. i was driving around town one night and heard a noise that was barely noticable, sort of a high pitched whine. i came up to a red light (all by myself at the light) and when it turned green i tried shifting into first but it didn't go in. i gave a little harder push and it went in, but as soon as i let off the clutch it just stalled. i had the car towed home and realized something was terribly wrong. long story short, i had seized the transmission in fifth gear because the tranny had developed a leak where the axles connect. this was also the cause of the noise. three weeks later i have my baby back with new tranny internals, crace clutch and lightweight flywheel. i hope this did not happen to your friend.
does it shift into any gears when the engine is off??? if yes, try starting it when its in a gear with the clutch down obviously. if it moves then its the clutch not disengaging. if it pops out of gear or feels like it goes into gear but nothing happens when you release the clutch then its probably shift linkage/internal problem. wait u said it goes into reverse...then the clutch must be working. uhm...well let us know if it goes into gear with the engine off. i think it mite be like bb6racer said like u had a leak. does it move in reverse??? does it make grinding noises when you go in reverse? srry bout all the questions. i work at a tranny shop and i'm used to asking the customer every little thing that would help me diagnose it.
