Default auto to manual im

is it necesary to change the intake manifold from an auto to a manual when doing an auto to manual swap on a 1992 dx??? i did the auto to manual swap and now it barely turns on and when it does it revs up n down for about 2 minutes after i start it.

no, it's not necessary. check your grounds and make sure that all of your connectors are plugged in. did you swap the harness too?

To my knowledge it is. But then again this is a 92' and my knowldge of 92's is vague. I know it is from 96-00. You have to replace the IM, TB and IACV with the ECU and rewire it. But thats ODB2
