whats up,

i have a 96 dx civic hatch, i decided to swap out the y7 and i pieced together a z6. only because i have never seen anybody put a z6 in an ek. everybody either does a mini me with a y8. only cause it is obd 2 already. or go the b swap route. here is my thing, i have a z6 block, eagle rods ,vitara pistons, lucas injectors and so on. soon to be boosting! on top i have a z9 cylinder head available only in europe so i;m told ,pretty much the same as z6 though. but here is the thing is that i am using a z6 distributor and i need to wire it to the y7 engine harness does any body have any ideas about pinouts for both dizzys and how to hook them up???

i think you have to just color match wires. putting an obd1 b16a into a 99 civic dx thats what you have to do and you might hve a blue wire left over all that is is a tach wire that goes to cruise control, test point,and cluster.

i decided to swap out the guts of the dizzys. cause it proved to be so much easier... running great can't wait till after break in period over

hows are the vitara pistons i have heard good/bad things such as they have a very low compression and sit 2mm below the top of the sleeves at the top of the stroke, hope to see numbers and see if the pistons actually hold up

got about 40 miles on the build, running great. some people dont really like the vitara's. honestly even w/o boost yet, it really isn't that much of a power loss that i notice. but then again i used a y8 head gasket. only thing that i don't like about them is when you start it up, they kind of chatter for a min till they warm up and expand to a complete round piston. i really freak out when my car makes noises, but ill just have to get used to them. maybe when i switch to full syn it will be better. it isn't that bad , but i hear it and others don't .

i am trying to see how much i can get out of the greddy kit, hopefully in a month or so i can post some #'s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!

yea maybe you could max the turbo out lol at like 270 or so whp, i wasgunna go the vitara route and i actually have a set sitting here but i went with cp instead lol

i got a set of vitara's too theyre jus sittin here wiht the rest of my turbo kit... :/
but i hear a lotat good stuff about em and the ad stuff i hear desnt reali seem to apply to often
this is fjt's thread (the guy who is sellin em) and its got a lotta info in it and him and some other guys are running 12's on vitaras
