Actually, I like the way the tq looks from 5800 - 8000rpm. Looks like some of the toda B plots I seen. But 190 whp was a goal.

I see an indirect and subtle snicker there. Live and die by the Toda, eh?

Anybody have a plot of Spec A's with similar mods?

some people do use their motor below 5800

Yack - who hates on/off power while accelerating out of a turn.

Nice torque curve. It resembles stock, but higher.

Here's another dyno...

Blue line: stock ITR motor, DC JDM header, GReddy exhaust, stock everything else
Green line: 98 ITR motor (11.1:1), 01 ITR intake cam, Topspeed ported head, AEM intake, DC JDM, RS*R exhaust, Apexi VAFC
Red line: 00 ITR motor, Skunk2 cams, P28 w/ SK2 program, JDM ITR header, stock airbox, stock exhaust w/no cat, Apexi VAFC, RC270cc injectors

Turns out the skunks have a "skunky" mid-range. Couldn't do much as far as tuning in the midrange. Rich or lean, made little to no difference.

Top end is nice tho.
there are some more comparrisons

OBVIOUSLY you are just too slow on the track!

-Dave, who is under 5800 a LOT on the track.

my torque is flat from 4500 on. xover on stage 1's is usually 4500.

Looks like the only changes were removing the belts? or did you do more fine tuning on top of the belts?

I always had the belts removed but the difference was adding gas in the 5800 & 6000. Just messed around with the vafc. I tried different vtec activation points but nothing worked as well as 5300. I'm happy with it. Maybe in the future I will go back to the dyno and mess around some more.$$$$$$$$$$
