How to remove passenger side air bag?
Sorry if this has been posted before but I searched and came up with nothing. If anybody has any info. on how to remove the passenger side air bag it would be gratly appreciated.
there are 4 or 5 bolts underneath the airbag. you need to remove the glove box and connect the safety clip the the airbag so it doesnt accidently deploy while your handling/removing it.
EDIT: Youl need at least a 6" extension on your rachet and an elbow because the bolt closest tot eh windshield is really back there.

Ok i removed the two bolts behind the glove box. (the air bag has already been deployed). Are you saying I have to remove the bolt on top of the dash near the windshield or what? Sorry but I didn't see the other bolts.
no all the bolts holding in the airbag are under the dash. The top on near the windshiled is to remove the dash, dont take those out. Only the ones under the dash. I remember there were at least 4 when i took off my airbag.

there is a certain way to "pry" the plastic top of the air bag out of the dash. there is a cut in one of the corners and i got mine out by starting in that corner with a screw driver and prying it out in a circle around the top. the air bag has an edge that holds the cover on the dash once the bag blows and thats what holds it in the dash after the bolts are out.
In Ek civics theres 3 10mm nuts that hold the airbag in place. Unscrew those, unplug the harness then using something to pry the airbag out. Stick a pickle fork or something long and skinny in between the metal brace for the dash and the bottom of the airbag
