Default Thunderhill June 25th Event Pics.

Weather was almost perfect for the month of June. The BBQ was really fun and food was great. We had a blast!. This was the first event my wife agreed to come along. THanks to Lin. She would not have come if Lin was not there.

jdmspoonitr: you missed out big time buddy

majority of the pics was taken by the wife.

Enjoy!

Edited --- too lazy to post larger pics...

Did you run counter-clockwise with the Cyclone? What kind of times were you seeing?

I love Thunderhill. Just be careful in 8. :S

The BBQ was fantastic! We had a great seafood salad, very tasty sausage and potato salad as well as some awesome shrimp kabob's w/ mushrooms and mangos. Unfortunately, my run group went out at noon and I missed out on the short ribs.

I would go just for the food. :-)

Many thanks to the all for really hooking us up.

Jdmspoonitr really missed out. We missed you out there dude!

Next event will most likely be August 6/7 at Infineon (Sears Point). Hope to see more faces out there. I will give rides if it'll help get some of the others out. :-)

We ran counter-clockwise but w/ the bypass at 5. (Crow's/eagle's nest was not run) What is the cyclone?

The cyclone is kind of like the Corkscrew at Laguna Seca in a way... hrm.... well not really.

Basically instead of running with the bypass you actually track up that hill and down the other side into 6. It's pretty fun.

I have some vids on my site with a couple slow laps with the Cyclone.

Without the bypass, the car has to really slow down up the hill then make a sharp left to go down the off-camper turn. I personally like the bypass better. You carry more speed and it feels like the car is being airborn. Well, it's fun either way..

Try braking late for the cyclone and then cranking the wheel over.

Pretty soon you will be airborne. :D

Anyone have any issues in 8? I hope not.

Sorry I didnt make it out there guys... I will be there to root at Infineon.....as of right now I cant spend any money on events cuz I'm strapped for cash. I'm really deep in debt due to rebuilding the car and its all catching up to me. Hopefully I can still keep the car. We'll have to see i guess.

Not sure what it's called but they are baby-back beef... No one has ever turned them down so they must be tasty... . It would have been better if they were BBQed over the open flame (gas grill) but the coals also did just fine.

Forgot to take pics of the shrimp kabobs and other good stuffs. We were too busy eating. ... yum!!!

Nah. It's pretty much a flat out turn, once you figure out where to start cranking the wheel...
