Default Dare you to Solve this one!!! Money Reward!!!

ok guys....here we go

i have a 93 si hatch with a GSR turbo..

on the way back from the NOPI event my car just died. I tired to crank it back over and nothing, sounded like it wasnt getting any fuel..

I had it towed home and i thought that my ecu might have went bad. I swap my ecu into my friends car and it started his car. I put his in my car and it didnt start, it was just turing over. I pulled out my spark plug to see if it was getting spark. There was no spark coming from the plug. I put my spark plug in my friends car and it sparked fine. And these are new plugs also.

I checked my chip in the ecu to see if that was the problem first, and it seemed to be ok, and then it did start my friends car so it was alright.

Also along with no spark, i am getting no fuel... i thought that it might be a bad fuel pump so i took a wire and wired it directly to the battery and it was pumping fuel. but without the spark it didnt matter.

I checked my Main relay, i swaped it out on my friends car, and it also worked on his just fine..

so i am stuck, and i checked the ecu fuse under the hood and it was fine also... I also checked that my grounds were on the tranny, and the thermostat housing as well...

please guys, the person that solves my problem gets 5 dollars paypaled to them

Thanks Mugenhatch

Try swapping distributors. If it works on your car, your coil or ignitor could be bad.

You can check your coil w/ an ohmeter. If it ohms out OK and the resistance is good, replace the ignitor. or consider a remanfactured one from Distributor King...

Ok my next gues is the crank/cam position sensor has an open circuit. The computer is not seeing the engine crank and thus not sending fuel or spark...

You can swap dizzys for this test too.
OBD1 engine right?

Open circuit it probably would. Im not sure of the honda OBD1 programming in its CCM (self diagnosis) circuitry...
OBD2 usually will catch this stuff.

I think its possible for the sensor to be faulty and still not throw a code on most obd1 systems as theyre self diag. system is not as sophisticated as 2...

ok darkenessJ besides the fact that i would have heard valves bend, and hear the belt snap, along with seeing a broken belt...

anyway guys BELIVE THIS ON

i started just pulling fueses, it turns out that is was a A.C.G fuse that is right beside the SRS fuse under the dash.....

Put this on the books, i have never heard of this thing... and i cant belive that is cost me all of this agony and a 134 dollar tow

well it was just a suggestion, I broke a belt before and others i know have also and valves dont have to bend or snap or anything at all when a timing belt breaks. I'm glad you found your problem.

id deffinately carry extra fuses with you and check them first...also somethin had to make that blow so id do some research and check a schematic and see where and how that ties in
