Default sqeaky clutch pedal spring

every time i push in the clutch pedal or let it out i hear a sqeaking noise come from under the dash... i pushed the clutch pedal in with my hand(stock clutch... lol) while the car was off and with my head under the dash and it sounds like its coming from the spring on the clutch pedal... i sprayed some lube on it but to no avail... besides replacing the spring is there any way to fix this? thanks

Lube the pivot point on the pedal.

Yeah same problem here...if you actually want to call it a problem.

they are old cars, you cant expect everything to be perfect...hence why I have never even bothered trying to fix mine.

Bump for a solution to this annoying problem.

Does that lube **** really work, or is it just an idea.. I've tried using WD-40 with no success

white lithium grease. Don't know where to get it because I had it laying around, but it worked awesome. No more squeaks. You apply some at the cable hook.
