No fuel
the car is a 98 hatch with a b16, obd1 conversion, chipped p28 ecu.
so this morning i turned the car on, it idled fine, so i backed out of the drive way and put the car into first and then the car died. When you put the key onto the on position we cant hear the fuel pump.
When we try check for CEL's the check engine light is solid. So far all the grounds are good, the fuel pump fuse is good. what else can we check.....

a solid CEL means no codes.
as said, check all connections.also check the main relay.
check the fuel pump-try hooking 12V directly to it to see if it works.

it's under the dash on the driver side.
a search for "main relay" will give you plenty of info on it's exact location and how to test it.a shop manual will also have all the info.

Well we found the main relay on the passenger side behind the glove box. I swapped it with another one. Still no fuel. When Gambit said the CEL light was solid we meant its actually lit up. But when I try to jump it for codes the CEL light still stays solid... OK guys, now what? would a dead fuel pump throw a code? And why cant I check it for codes???

solid CEL with no codes shown usually means either a bad chip or it can mean a bad ECU.
it also could be a bad connection to the chip inside the ECU. Unplug the ECU from the car, pop off the top cover and pull out the chip, then put it back in. See if the solid CEL comes back.
if that fails try removing the conversion harness and plugging in your stock ECU, just to check the codes.
you can also troubleshoot a little more. is there 12volts on the blu/wht wire at the main relay when trying to start the car?
what about the yel/blk wire? (should have 12volt power when the key is in run)
does the grn/yel wire have 0volts on it? (signal from ECU to turn on fuel pump)
if all that checks out check the yel/grn wire at the main relay, it should have power with the ignition in run and crank. (output of the fuel pump side of the main relay)

well we switched relays, and still no go. We checked for power going to the pump (yel/grn) and there was none. What causes this...
p.s. your computer is shipped and on the way... tracking number in your email... and PM
