If anyone has any experience with this alarm system, can you please tell me if it's normal for the RX (receive) icon to flash every 3 seconds or so on the transmitter? Thanks.

 

I checked the manual, and the only thing it says ia that it will flash if it's receaving a page from the alarm, nothing about flashing any other time. 94

 

just out of curiosity, do you have the alarm? and if so, does the RX icon flash on yours?

 

No I don't have one, we install them at our shop, I have only done 3 or 4, I have not had a customer come back and ask about that and I have not noticed it when programing and testing the alarm, so I looked through the owners guide, you can contact Directed at http://www.dei.com 94

 

If it is a 2way remote it is just comunicating with the brain.

btw, can someone tell me why all of a sudden directed decided to remove the 5000 system and replace it with the 3000 system on their website? that kind of worries me a little. thanks.

 

mine blinks every few seconds....for over a year now! it is supposed to...it will flash tx also...not recieving a signal i believe!
