Default Speedo way off

A few minutes ago I mounted the commander to the power fc and drove a while..
the speedo showed exactly 100km/h, commander exactly 95 km/h.

It`s cold aoutside and I have stock rims with stock sized winter tires..

Wtf, that`s 5% difference.

Ehhhh.... 5% is very normal.... But are you sure the commander is accurate.
You need GPS or radar or something else to measure the real speed....

I`m not sure... Peeps speak of 2% but 5 percent is a lot IMHO

It`s the same with the revs... tach sais 4100, commander sais 3800.... damn
I knew that they`re way off, but I didn`t think that major.

Sounds normal too. My VTEC engages at 6000 rpm (5700 in real).....

I'm pretty sure it's normal. 5k'm isn't that big of a difference. The tach is also off too. What a bummer. I wonder why Honda let something like this go?

since you have a tool that will tell you the exact rpm & speed, just pull off the needles and put it back on.

yshi - who finally fixed his fuel gage over the weekend; no more guessing

If it wasn't VTEC (at 5700 rpm) I wouldn't have know how far it was off.....

I just went by a couple of those speed limit/radar signs this morning, and it (the speedo) was off by almost 3mph @ 40 and 4-5 mph @ an indicated 60 (radar sign at first said 56, but then flickeded as we went by and displayed 55 ... mph).

This was on 205/50/15 Asenis on stock ITR wheels.

Sort of explains why I'm not getting pulled over for speeding lately!
Especially when I've thought I must have been doing at least 20 over.

Yes ofcourse, the difference is a percentage not an absolute value (like 300 rpm or something). It's about 300/6000 x 100% = 5%. Hey, I saw this figure before!!!

Notice that she didn't say anything about getting a ticket!
Let me guess, ... a blonde?
No WAY would she be driving that fast, it must have been some "street racer"... hahaha!

The Speedo on my car vs. what I see on the PowerFC are pretty much the same, I would believe that they would be exactly the same considering the speedo is electric, and it runs through the ecu...now the rpm...well they are off by about 200 @ indicated 8800 rpm, ie. it reads 9000 when it's 8800 rpm.
