VIR Weather Report For This Weekend

Partly Cloudy 54°F 36°F

Sat Feb 16:

Partly Cloudy 54°F 33°F

Sun Feb 17:

Mostly Sunny 54°F 27°F

Looks like it is gonna be a good weekend. I have been itching for some seat time since December. I look forward to seeing everyone there!

According to tire rack, race tires should not be exposed to sub 32 F temps for more than 8 hours. Looks like my race tires are spending the night in my hotel room with me....

LOL... All I know is all last winter I had my yoko A008RS tires outside, and they were just as sticky when I used them in Feb and May as they were the fall before....

I've been wondering what that tire refresher stuff was made of. Glad I wore gloves.
I'll be running on toasted Hoosier take-offs this weekend, so I don't really care.

And this forecast is about as good as it's gonna get for VIR in Mid February. If it holds we are very lucky. I remember snow in the shaded grassy areas last February on Saturday morning.

Its pointless. Giles + VIR = rain. Please prove me wrong but afaik its as easy as that.

Revised forecast VIR,

NO RAIN ALL WEEKEND. Rain pushed out till Wednesday.
