93 lude vtec; most of the time at stop light, i cant shift into first gear all the way. it'll go in about half way but it's not engaged, then when i let go clutch padel slightly while forcing clutch in..then it'll pop right in. sometimes in this situation it'll also grind if i'm not doing it right. what can this problem be? ohh and by the way all the other gears works fine but i have notice getting in gears are alot rougher than before. before it used to be getting in gear smoothly... any help is appreicated..thanks

 

are u fully stopped? but if u are not, it sounded like a problem i had.

 

yes i'm fully stopped.

sometimes i would panic at the green light when everyone's honking behind me..

 

I have that problem sometimes to, and I believe AndyD does too. This DEFIENETLY works: when it wont go into 1st, release the clutch a little while youre trying to be put into gear, it will go right in. Hope this helps. GL.

You can also shift into second and without letting out the clutch, go into first. It may help.

dont think so? happens to me every once in a while.. same with reverse.
